West Milos and Kleftiko

West cruise and Kleftiko

Starting from the main port of Adamantas around 10am, this cruise includes the highlights of Milos; Klima and Vani in Adamantas bay, the unaccesible beaches of the west side of Milos, Sykia cave and Kleftiko. We return around 7pm with the sun in our back making the colours even more lively. Here are some highlights:

Adamantas bay sightseeing

First we pass close to the east coast of the bay to see the early Christian catacombs and the colorfull fishing villages of Klima where the statue of Venus de Milo was found. Then we will reach the impressive bear shaped rocks called Arkoudes.

Vani

With the wind in our sails we will reach the impressive Cape Vani, one of the first metal mines in Milos. After seeing the old mines quay we will have our first swim at the bay of Kalogries in crystal clear turquoise waters.

Sykia

Next we will sail to the spectacular Cave of Sikia, the bigest cave in Milos. Reaching the Southwest part of Milos, where Sykia is located, we will note how the landscape changes dramatically; A landscape of changing colours, lava black, limestone white and yellow rocks and magnificent shapes and green waters. We anchor in the bay of Sykia surrounded by high volcanic rocks, we will swim and visit the cave using our dinghy. When we get back, traditional greek snacks and 'ouzo' the most famous greek drink are going to be waiting for us.

Kleftiko

Finaly we arrive to the majestic Klefiko; This unique landscape of tall limestone rocks was used by pirates as a hideout and storming point for many centuries. Kleftiko is full of caves and passages and its waters are of amazing colour and clarity which none can resist to swim in. We will provide you with snorkelling equipment and underwater cameras and let you explore. Freshly cooked food is going to be waiting for you when you get back and after lunch we will go explore the caves together in our dinghy.

We return to the port of Adamantas around 7pm.

South Milos

South Cruise

Starting from the bay of Provatas, the south cruise is ideal when the 'meltemi', the name if the strong north winds that blow during the summer months in the Cyclades, blows very strong. The south side is protected from the waves but offers nice wind for sailing. We will make stops in Tsigrado or Gerakas, the beautiful beach of Gerontas and Kleftiko, where the cruise schedule is exactly the same as in the west cruise. Here are some highlights:

Tsigrado and Gerakas

Tsigrado is famous for the difficult access since to get there you have to climb down a rope!!! Easier to get there by boat don't you think? A bit more to the east, the beach of Gerakas with its green waters and perlite waterfalls is a stunning beach.

Gerontas

Very popular with locals, Gerontas is a beautiful quiet surrounding with blue waters. Famous for the arch, the biggest one in Milos, on the west and the cave on the east side this place offers beautiful snorkelling and cliff diving.

South Milos and Polyaigos

South Milos and Polyaigos

Starting from the bay of Provatas we will visit Tsigrado for a quick swim and breakfast, then the old sulfur mines and finally Polyaigos galazia nera (blue waters), one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.

The sulfur mines of Milos, built at the end of the 19th century are an impressive sight in Milos. We will visit the old facilities still standing proud taking you in a trip back in time. After a snack we will move on to Polyaigos, the largest uninhabited island in Greece, a place of unspoilt beauty. The beach of Galazia nera has a unique fluorescent blue colour that will leave you breathless.
